====== Control Panel: Test Model ======

The Test Model control panel is designed to test your [[configuration file|actual model configuration]] or some external [[Area Input File]] without actually starting the main model run.

Press //Test Model Configuration// (the caption will change according to the actual configuration file) to test and link all [[database files overview|Database Files]] and input settings. \\
Then, check the output generated by ENVI-met to make sure that your package of Area Input File, Database Files and Main Configuration File contains valid links and settings. 

**However, a successful testing of the configuration does not mean, that the complete simulation run will be free of troubles, but it facilitates the debugging process!**

You can use the //Check some .IN file// command to check any Area Input File without defining a Configuration File first. However, if you use additional [[localdb|local databases]], they will not be found using this simple check method. In this case you need to build a Main Configuration File first.
